The VII Annual Conference of Estonian Philosophy „Pluralism of truth, knowledge, norms and values“

Dates: August 29th – September 1st, 2011

The conference is dedicated to furthering the discussion of philosophical issues such as what pluralism amounts to and what are its implications in different fields of philosophy (ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, logic, philosophy of sciense etc).

Deadline of submissions: July 3

Option 1
Professional philosophers are welcome to submit an abstract for a presentation on one of the following topics:
• Pluralism in theoretical philosophy
• Pluralism in practical philosophy
• Pluralism in philosophy of science
• Pluralism in history of philosophy

Option 2
Student essay contest
Both undergraduate and graduate students of philosophy are welcome to take part in the student essay contest with a paper on a freely chosen topic. The winners will have the opportunity to present their work on the third day of the conference and will be awarded with 300 EUR, 200 EUR and 100 EUR prizes in three categories (BA students, MA students, PhD students). The awards are provided by the Philosophy Department of the University of Tartu.
